MEGHAN ROSE BRADLEY FOUNDATION

      CURRENTLY FUNDED RESEARCH

Donations to the Meghand Rose Bradley Foundation currently support research being pursued by Dr. Richard C.E. Anderson, Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and Pediatric Neurosurgery, at the Neurological Institute at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Anderson works with other medical scientists to study the response of the body's immune system to brain tumors. From their results, they hope to understand the mechanisms behind the cancer cells' immune resistance and possibly to enhance or augment the body's native ability to fight off the disease.

"With government sponsored funding from the National Institutes of Health at an all time low (less than one in ten grants are funded), support from private foundations like yours is critcally important. Thanks in large part to your generosity, it has been possible to conduct the studies we have described above, and we plan to contiune our investigations dedicated to achieving our long-term goal of an immunotherapeutic based treatment for children."
